Mr. Farmer’s practice is primarily devoted to representing clients on divorce, equitable distribution, custody, visitation, child support, spousal support and other domestic relations matters.  His experience includes negotiating and drafting global as well as single-issue settlement agreements; guiding clients through complex pre-trial discovery processes; arguing for and defending against various pre-trial motions; and preparing for and representing clients at hearings and trials before juvenile and domestic relations courts as well as circuit courts. He also represents clients charged with felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic offenses in general district and circuit court. Mr. Farmer represents clients in Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, and Nelson Counties, and the City of Charlottesville.

Mr. Farmer received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Richmond.  While in law school, Mr. Farmer gained work experience with the Petersburg Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in Petersburg, Virginia, and with a civil and criminal litigation firm in Norfolk, Virginia, where he assisted in representing clients on family law matters, workers compensation defense, criminal defense, and cases before the Virginia Court of Appeals.
