Kyle’s practice is devoted to assisting clients across a wide range of family law matters. In addition to providing advice, counseling, and court representation on issues of divorce, property distribution, spousal support (alimony), custody, visitation, and child support, he also handles protective order matters, actions involving the interpretation or enforcement of contracts and court orders, adoptions, and other domestic relations issues. He has extensive experience in all phases of family law representation, from negotiating and drafting comprehensive prenuptial, separation, and post-marital property settlement agreements, to guiding clients through complex family-law litigation in both the juvenile and circuit courts.

Domestic issues regularly produce intense emotions and high levels of stress and anxiety, which, in turn can lead to a level of conflict that most individuals have never experienced. Kyle has over a decade of experience in helping clients to manage that conflict when it arises and, just as importantly, in positioning clients to prevent that conflict from escalating again in the future.

Kyle is licensed to practice in all state courts in Virginia. While the bulk of his practice is concentrated in the Counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Orange and Nelson, and the City of Charlottesville, he regularly accepts cases in other locales within the state. Kyle chairs the Family and Juvenile & Domestic Relations Section of the Charlottesville-Albemarle Bar Association and has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Virginia each year since 2014.
